Depending on the season, the statue is often dressed in a costume with a wardrobe that consists of 760 items. The costumes are changed frequently in ceremonies that are often accompanied by brass band music. Brussels is a great base for popular day trips to the beautiful towns of Bruges, Ghent and Antwerp.
