For travel starting 2024年1月01日: SkyMiles® Members who book a Delta Vacations package now earn $1 Medallion Qualification Dollar (MQD) per $1 spend on their Total Package Price†. Here’s a breakdown of how you will earn MQDs:

  • All passengers in your booking will earn MQDs for the flight portion of the package based on Exception Fares.
  • In addition to the MQDs earned on the flight portion of the package, as the primary passenger who books the package you will also receive MQDs on nonflight portions of the package, such as stays, rides, cars, and activities. The amount of MQDs you earn for this nonflight portion equals the difference between the Total Package Price and the combined MQDs awarded to all passengers for the flight portion.

For travel on or prior to 2023年12月31日: SkyMiles Members will earn toward Medallion Status on Delta Vacations experiences as follows:

  • You’ll earn your MQMs and MQSs toward Status the same way you would earn if you booked a flight only with Delta.
  • Because you’re booking a Delta Vacations experience, you’ll earn MQDs toward Status one of two ways: MQDs when you fly or MQDs with exception fares.

Earn Toward Medallion Status Terms and Conditions

  • Purchase any Delta Vacations package from any Delta Vacations origin in the U.S. to any Delta Vacations destination, up to 331 days before travel, for travel anytime.
  • Qualified customer means individuals with a SkyMiles number included in the reservation. Infants under two years of age who travel on an infant fare are excluded. All qualified customers must be listed as guests and use the package travel components to qualify for bonus miles.
  • SkyMiles number must be added to the Delta Vacations booking to receive flight miles, MQMs, MQSs and MQDs, as applicable.
  • Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) – for bookings traveling starting 2024年1月01日
    • Beginning 2024年1月01日, SkyMiles Members will earn one (1) MQD per US$1 (or equivalent foreign currency) of the Total Package Price for every completed Delta Vacations package when booked directly through Delta Vacations online, via our Customer Engagement Center, or through an authorized travel advisor.

"MQDs when you fly" calculates MQDs based on the money you spend on Delta-marketed flights (flight numbers that include the “DL” airline code) in Main Cabin or above. This includes only the base fare and any carrier-imposed surcharges (excluding taxes and government-imposed fees). For example, if your flight costs $358 (including $51 in taxes and government-imposed fees), you would earn 307 MQDs for that flight. For purposes of this calculation, Delta Vacations will assume the value of the ticket will be equal to the retail value at the time of booking of the same flight number, date, cabin, fare class, fare basis code, and ticket price provided that this information may only be available to Delta Vacations and not the SkyMiles member. "MQDs with exception fares" calculates MQDs by counting one-fifth of the miles earned from the “Miles when you fly with exception fares." formula (before applying any Medallion Status bonus mileage multiplier) as MQDs. For example, if you earn 1,500 miles on an exception fare, you would earn 300 MQDs on that fare. For additional information on how to calculate, visit “MQDs with exception fares.”The member will receive the greater of "MQDs when you fly" or "MQDs when you fly with exception fares" at the time of booking, as determined by Delta Vacations in its sole discretion plus an additional 1 MQD.When providing a SkyMiles number, miles will be awarded for Delta Vacations packages, including Delta flights, Delta-coded flights operated by the airline partners below, and flights coded and operated by the following airlines partners: Delta Connection carrier and Delta shuttle flights, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Aeromexico, and Air France.

  • Purchase any Delta Vacations package from any Delta Vacations origin in the U.S. to any Delta Vacations destination, up to 331 days before travel, for travel anytime.
  • Bonus miles are awarded for purchasing the following: flight and hotel stay, flight and hotel stay plus qualified car rental, flight and car, hotel and car, hotel and transfer.
  • Receive 1,000 bonus miles per qualified customer on bookings of up to $4,999; 5,000 bonus miles per qualified customer on bookings of $5,000 - $9,999; and 10,000 bonus miles per qualified customer on bookings of $10,000 or more.
  • Maximum of 10,000 bonus miles per qualified customer.
  • Qualified customer means individuals with a SkyMiles number included in the reservation. Infants under two years of age who travel on an infant fare are excluded. All qualified customers must be listed as guests and use the package travel components to qualify for bonus miles.
  • SkyMiles number must be added to the Delta Vacations booking to receive the bonus miles. Bonus miles will not be credited when the SkyMiles number is provided directly to the airline.
  • Bonus miles will be posted to Members’ accounts within 6-8 weeks of completing qualifying travel. Miles will be posted as a bonus and will not count toward Medallion® qualification or Million Miler™ Status.
  • When providing a SkyMiles number, bonus miles will be awarded for Delta Vacations packages, including Delta flights, Delta-coded flights operated by the airline partners below, and flights coded and operated by the following airlines partners: Delta Connection carrier and Delta shuttle flights, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, Aeromexico, and Air France.
  • All airline tickets and travel documents must be issued by Delta Vacations.
  • All mileage and subsequent awards must be earned and used according to the terms and conditions of the SkyMiles Program.

The “Miles when you fly” calculation will assume the SkyMiles member earns 5 miles for each $1 spent on the flight ticket (excluding taxes and government-imposed fees) for Delta-marketed flights (flight numbers that include the “DL” airline code). For identified Medallion Members, the calculation will reflect the mileage multiplier associated with their Status level (i.e., up to 11 miles for Diamond Medallion Members). For purposes of this calculation, Delta Vacations will assume the value of the flight ticket will be equal to the retail value at the time of booking of the same ticket with the same flight number, date, cabin, fare class, fare basis code, and ticket price provided that a portion of this information may only be available to Delta Vacations and not the SkyMiles member. The "Miles when you fly with exception fares" calculation will assume the SkyMiles member earns miles on exception fares based on a percentage of the distance flown on the selected flight. The percentage is determined by and the fare class. For additional information on how to calculate miles, visit “Miles when you fly with exception fares.”The member will receive the greater of "Miles when you fly" or "Miles when you fly with exception fares" at the time of booking, as determined by Delta Vacations in its sole discretion, plus an additional 100 miles.
